It is time to end the Corruption in the Ohio “Republican” Party

We are going Restore OUR Republican Party!

The Ohio “Republican” Party has been taken over by political operatives who sell the votes of “Republican” Politicians in the Ohio House and Senate, and in the US House and Senate, to monied special interests who want political favors.  You have NO Representation in Government, because the Ohio “Republican” Party only recruits and funds campaigns for phony “Republicans” who agree to do what the lobbyists tell the Party Leadership to do.

ORPBetrayedUS

The Ohio “Republican” Party State Central Committee only endorses incumbent “Republicans”. The Ohio “Republican” Party has no platform and does not require candidates to prove that they believe the Republican values and principles that we believe. They simply “rent” the “R” to the highest bidder and when you go to the polls to vote, you think that you are voting for a Republican when you are not. That is why 66% of all Republican votes believe that the “Republican” Leadership has “Betrayed” them. Because they have!

What are we going to do about it?

To “Restore” OUR Republican Party, we need to take back control of the County and State Central Committees. Then we can recruit and endorse only candidates who prove that they will vote or govern according to Republican values and principles when they are elected. The Ohio Citizens PAC along with other TEA Party and Conservative Organizations in the State have recruited 55 candidates to run for the 66 seats on the Republican State Central in an effort to win a majority and replace the current Chairman. We need you to vote for them in your Senate District and let everyone you know that they need to vote for them as well!

Time to DEMAND Answers!

It’s Time to Demand Accountability!

It is high time for you to demand some answers from the members of the State Central Committee who have been endorsing candidates who are not Republicans and who have used the power of the state to destroy our nation. The people on this Central Committee have given you people like John Boehner, John Kasich and Rob Portman. All of whom talked a good conservative game, but when it was time for action, they were total liberals on immigration, medicade expansion, natural marriage, raising the debt ceiling, common core and so much more.

The people resonsible for not only allowing those phony Republicans and so many more in our House and Senate and other offices to be on the ballot, but often for making sure that they are the only choices you had on the ballot are on this list below. They are responsible for your anger about being betrayed by “Republicans” you have elected and you need to hold them responsible!

It’s Time to Start Asking Questions and Demand Answers!

So, I want you to call the representative from your Senate District, or send them an email, or confront them in person and ask them these five questions:

1) Have you personally made it clear that you demand that the Ohio Republican Party  adopt the National Republican Party Platform so that the State Central Committee would have a standard by which to judge both incumbent and potential candidates?

2) Do you or anyone in your family get paid by any government agency? Does this affect the way that you vote on State Central Committee?
(We are investigating this and will expose those who do not tell you the truth.)

3) Are you a Convention Delegate for John Kasich and if so did you vote to endorse him as a member of the State Central Committee? If so, why did you not think that you had a conflict of interest in doing so, and why do you think that it was fair not  to have any other Republican Presidential Candidate considered for endorsement by the Ohio “Republican” Party?

4) Would you vote to change the ORP By-Laws so that you are no longer restricted to only endorsing incumbents, and could instead endorse the best Republican?

5) Would you vote to replace the current ORP Chairman, Matt Borges?

Call these people, and ask them these questions. Right now, you need contact your Representative and make it clear that you are NOT happy with how the Ohio “Republican” Party is run. Make sure that they understand that you know that they are responsible for allowing that to happen and you want it fixed.

OHIO “REPUBLICAN” PARTY VOTE FRIDAY WILL ELECT TRUMP OR CRUZ – NOT KASICH!

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, January 7, 2016

OHIO “REPUBLICAN” PARTY

VOTE FRIDAY WILL ELECT TRUMP OR CRUZ – NOT KAsICH!

Akron, OH – Tom Zawistowski, President of the We the People Convention, said tonight that by its actions Friday morning (1/8/16) at it’s State Central Committee Meeting, the Ohio “Republican” Party, will demonstrate why Republican Primary voters will vote to elect Donald Trump or Ted Cruz in the March Primary. Zawistowski explained “On Friday Morning the corrupt Ohio “Republican” Party is planning to vote to endorse John Kasich, proving that their is no Republican Party in Ohio, their is only the Kasich Machine. The survey’s that I have done, and I have seen, show that John Kasich currently has the support of 12% of Ohio Republican voters who are highly likely to vote in the primary. By voting to endorse Kasich Friday, they are exposing the fact that they do not represent the 88% of real Republicans, most of whom are supporting Trump or Cruz. This is why survey’s show that 66% of all Republicans feel that they have been betrayed by their party leadership – because they have been. Their own actions are fueling the anger and resentment which will cause real Republicans to vote in droves for Donald Trump and Ted Cruz in March.”

Zawistowski continued, “They do not represent the Republican Party, they are frauds. A real Republican State Party would stay neutral and respect the right of the Republican electorate to pick the candidate of their choice through a fair and open election process. Particularly when that Republican State Party is hosting the National Convention. On Friday, at the ORP State Central Committee meeting in Columbus, the ONLY people you will see who are real Republicans, and who will be voting against endorsing John Kasich, are the regular citizens elected by the TEA Party Movement in 2014. These Patriots will be the only ones defending Republican values and principles as the Chairman uses bribes and intimidation to force the other committee members to bend to the will of the Kasich Machine. You can be sure that they will make the vote a “secret ballot” so that none of those who vote to endorse Kasich, and betray the wishes of the Republican voters in their districts, can be identified. However, we in the TEA Party know who they are, and we look forward to the March primary where our candidates to replace them will be making known what they have done to every Republican Primary voter in the District.”

Rush Limbaugh Praises TEA Party Movement

This is a partial transcript from the Rush Limbaugh show on Wednesday, September 2, 2015:

The Trump Movement Isn’t About Conservatism — It’s About Americanism

September 02, 2015

RUSH:  Look, my point is, here’s a piece that just cleared. Who wrote it? Doesn’t matter. You’re gonna find out anyway some point. “Trump Has Succeeded in Convincing Conservatives to Discard Their Principles Overnight.”  Okay.  This will provide an excellent opportunity.  Conservative principles.  What good are they if all that’s ever done with them is written about?  What good are conservative principles if all anybody ever does is talk about it?

What good are conservative principles if that’s all they are, if there’s no associated lifestyle? If there’s no associated action, if there’s no associated political objective with it, what good is it?  I, for one, am tired of conservatism being nothing more than some intellectual feast every day.  Let’s look at the Tea Party as an example here.  The Tea Party movement is one of the most important political movements in this country in our lifetimes.

Let’s look at how powerful the Tea Party movement was and is.  The Tea Party movement came into existence in 2010 as a result of real-world events, not because the members of the Tea Party had read a bunch of conservatism.  They hadn’t read a bunch of books, and they hadn’t read a bunch of websites, and they hadn’t read a bunch of columns, and they hadn’t read a bunch of blogs.

What they were was angry and scared over what they knew Obama was doing that threatened the country and the future of their children and grandchildren, specifically with Obamacare and the spending that was happening with this administration. They could see this country’s future literally circling the drain, and so people who had no formal political experience in their lives — meaning they had never been part of a campaign. They hadn’t.

Maybe the most they’d ever done is put signs in the front yard.

They had voted and that was it. But they had no professional, political experience in their lives, and they came into existence, and there wasn’t a single person that was leading them. There wasn’t a single person that served as the creator of the movement.  It was a grassroots effervescence that bubbled up resulting from real-world events that these people manifestly opposed and were frightened by.

The Tea Party movement was so big and so threatening to the left that they had to create their own fake version of it, which was called Occupy Wall Street.  Occupy Wall Street was everything the Tea Party wasn’t.  Occupy Wall Street was made up.  It was designed.  It was planned, it was executed, it was created, and it was created as a counter.  It was made to look like it, too, was organic — except it opposed the Tea Party.

It supported Obama.  It supported the Democrat Party.  It supported liberalism.  And the media wrote about it as though it was as organic as the Tea Party.  But it wasn’t.  It was bought and paid for by Democrat donors.  It was nourished by the Democrat Party and leftist organizations left and right.  It had organized protests. It had organized locations and organized activities.  It had donations to it.  It had specific purposes.

The Tea Party was never so organized in that sense, because it was all organic.  Now, you would think that something like this that just arose from seemingly nowhere — that existed specifically to oppose and stop Barack Obama — you would think that the Republican Party would make tracks to embrace these people.  You would think that the Republican Party would do everything it could to build a bridge.

The Republican Party is smarting, it’s in pain, it’s whimpering around because it’s just got shellacked in the 2008 election. Obama wins; all appears lost! “He’s got health care. He’s done the stimulus. There’s no stopping him,” and here comes a movement of people — average, ordinary Americans, never involved in politics before — and they are huge in number. They are willing to donate.  The Democrat Party is scared to death of them.

The Republican Party has a built-in majority with the Tea Party.  All they have to do is build a bridge rooted in opposition to Obamacare.  It’s made to order.  The Republican Party was, in my estimation, given — not for anything they did — a majority.  And the Republican Party made not one move to embrace the Tea Party.  Some individual Republicans did, and the Tea Party ended up having members or like-minded people elected, such as Ted Cruz and others.

But the Republican Party and the Democrat Party (the Washington DC establishment), rather than try to form an accord and try to form an alliance, tried to destroy it.  The inside-the-Beltway establishment tried to destroy the Tea Party.  Now, the inside-the-Beltway establishment is made up of these people today writing about who’s giving up and sacrificing their conservative principles.  If the Tea Party was anything, it was conservative. And if it was made up of anything, it was made up of conservatives.

At that point, they weren’t obsessed with what the principles of conservatism were because that was a given.  That was understood.  The opposition to Obama is naturally conservative.  That’s what these people already were.  All they had to do was join!  All they had to do was be inspired.  All they had to do was be motivated, welcomed in. But they weren’t.  They were ostracized, by the Democrat Party especially.

Did the Republican Party do much to help the Tea Party when it was in that mess with the IRS?  The IRS tried to deny tax-exempt status to all those Tea Party organizations, fundraising groups. Where was the Republican Party in there trying to help ’em out, represent them, bashing the IRS, joining in the effort to diminish Lois Lerner and her efforts?  The Tea Party was bashed, impugned, ripped to shreds daily by the Drive-By Media.  The media tried to make it look like a bunch of Looney Tune nutcases.

The Republican Party made not one attempt to help, and then these are the people upset over what’s happening with Trump?  This is not about conservative principles.  This is not about who has them and who doesn’t and who’s sacrificing them or who’s giving them up or discarding them.  What this is about is a whole lot of Americans thinking they had representation in Washington, and they’ve discovered they don’t.

They’ve been giving money at a political party. A political party has been campaigning promising to do X, Y, and Z and they’ve been getting voted for. They’ve been given majorities House and the Senate. But that’s where it’s all stopped, at the party level.  The Tea Party didn’t die. The Tea Party can’t be killed because it isn’t one person. It isn’t an official movement; it does not have a headquarters building.  You can’t bomb it, you can’t nuke it, you can’t do anything to it.

It’s there, it’s growing, and it’s gonna continue to grow, as long as Washington remains unresponsive, which Washington appears to be more and more unresponsive as the days go by.  So all these people that have got their underwear in a wad over people supporting Trump? They need to look in the mirror to explain why.  If they really want to know why all this is happening, they just have to look in the mirror.  You can only tell people they’re stupid and dumb so many times.

You can only tell ’em they’re unsophisticated so many times when they’re staring the loss of their country in the face with this invasion illegal immigration and Obamacare and all of these executive orders that Obama’s doing, and there’s not a single ounce of apparent opposition to any of it!  It’s not about conservative principles, and these people that are writing about it in those terms are simply, I think, doing what they can to marginalize Trump and his supporters in an apparently convoluted effort to maintain support for the RINOs or the establishment or ruling class, whatever you want to call them.

Anyway, I have to take a break.  I want to get back to the phones here, folks.  I could spend another 20 minutes explaining this, but I think you get it, at least my thoughts on this by now.

CRUZ MAINTAINS WIDE LEAD OVER WALKER IN OHIO CONSERVATIVES UNITED POLL

Toledo, OH – Today John McAvoy, Spokesman for the Toledo based Ohio Conservatives United, announced the result of the second monthly Republican Presidential Poll. Ted Cruz maintained a wide lead among Ohio Conservatives with 34% of the votes cast. Scott Walker was second again this month with 21%, while Rand Paul was third with 14%. Ohio Govenor John Kasich, who is expected announce he is entering the race this month, today only has support from 1.5% of Ohio conservatives.

Participation in the poll increased in June, with 43 different Ohio conservative groups participating, and over 2,000 individuals voting in the polls. The surveys were conducted in person during the month of June at monthly group meetings, and by special web based surveys set up for each group. Results for the survey, including individually by groups, can be viewed at www.OhioConservativesUnited.org
McAvoy stated, “”Based on the survey results so far,  Ohio’s conservative voters fully understand if they go to the polls split and fragmented amongst the really great conservative candidates, the establishment Republican wins. But if they unite around a single conservative candidate,  that candidate has a huge advantage and stands a better chance of winning.”

Respondents also were asked if they would consider changing their vote in order to elect an other conservative candidate. Results indicated that 42% of Ohio conservative would change their vote and another 42% may be persuaded to do so.

SUPREME COURT CANNOT LEGISLATE MORALITY

RULING ON HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE IS NO SURPRISE

FIGHT WILL CONTINUE

Akron, OH – Tom Zawistowski, President of the Ohio Citizens PAC, reacted today to the 4-3 decision by the US Supreme Court to ignore the lawful Constitutional votes of tens of millions of Americans, and impose their own ideological view about what marriage should be, in a ruling that undermine the entire Constitutional concept of States Rights. Zawistowski said “The ruling by the Supreme Court Friday is no surprise. It is equally illogical and unlawful as yesterday ruling on Obamacare. Which is demonstrated by Robert’s hypocritical dissent today which completely contradicts his own ruling yesterday. Clearly the US Supreme Court is no longer operating within the bounds of the US Constitution or the concept of the rule of law. They cannot legislate morality and this ruling does not change the hearts and minds and values of the vast majority of Americans who don’t need elitist judges to tell us what words mean, or what natural marriage is, or what is in our bible, or how to live our lives.”

Zawistowski concluded by saying, “While this may appear to be a Conservative’s and a Christian’s darkest hour, today, I am thinking about December 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor. I am thinking about Winston Churchill, who while saddened by the tragedy of that day, was also filled with joy and hope because the Japanese had “woken a sleeping giant”. Finally the American public had seen that they could no longer stand on the sidelines. That they had to join the fight against evil or be consumed by it. I believe that today, and this week with TPP and Obamacare and other events, is the beginning of a similar awakening that will lead to a similar outcome for the left. I and my fellow Americans look forward to continuing the fight to protect and defend our Constitution and our way of life in the months and years ahead. Like Churchill, while the fight may be long and bitter, the ultimate victory will be all the more sweet.”

SUPREME COURT RULING UNDERMINES THE RULE OF LAW

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 25, 2015

Akron, OH – Today, Tom Zawistowski, President of the Ohio Citizens PAC, derided the Supreme Court 6-3 ruling to uphold the Obama Administrations decision to provide healthcare cost subsidies to people enrolled in the Federal Healthcare Exchanges. Zawistowski said “I think we should all go out and break any law we want today, because we are no longer a nation of laws. You can say that you simply “interpret” the meaning of the words in any law, any way that serves your needs. I’ll drive 70 in a 55 mile per hour zone today, because 55 doesn’t really mean 55 in my opinion, or in the law that Congress passed, because I have to get to the next appointment on time and it was not the “intention” of Congress for me to be late because that would cost me money. Right? This ruling shows that US Supreme Court does not uphold the rule of law. They can’t even read English. They rule on what the “outcome” of the ruling will be not on what the law actually says. That is not their job. That is the job of Congress. They should have said to Congress, the law says what it says and if you didn’t mean it to say that then Congress needs to fix it. But the Court did not rule that way and that is the problem.”

Zawistowski continued, “This ruling shows that we now have no separation of powers. The Supreme Court feels that it must do the job of Congress. Everyone is doing the job of Congress except Congress, which insist upon giving all of it’s power to the Executive branch and is now conceding it to the Supreme Court. The “Law of this Land” is the Constitution, this ruling and the previous ruling by the Robert’s Court proves that the Constitution does not exist. The Governing class is free to interpret any law, any way they want, regardless of the actual written words, to implement their agenda.”

Zawistowski concluded, “Obamacare has never had the majority of Americans behind it. Obamacare has been jammed down our throats by elitist of both political parties. Every branch of government has participated in this unlawful, unconstitutional takeover of our healthcare system.  We in the TEA Party Movement have stood against this law from the beginning for three reasons. The first is the preservation of our personal Liberty. Throughout history, dictators and despots have moved to take over healthcare as a means of controlling the population. If Government controls your healthcare, they control you. That is the intent of Obamacare, not to give healthcare to those who cannot afford it, but to destroy the individual freedom and liberty of American citizens to make their own healthcare choices.

Second, we stood against Obamacare because we knew that it would increase the cost of healthcare for all Americans dramatically and artificially because it eliminated competition.  The result has been that we have all seen a 40% tax increase on our healthcare cost, something that no one would have supported if that were disclosed during the passage of the law. Which is why it was not disclosed as Jonathan Gruber so boastfully pointed out.

Third we knew it would drive down the quality of healthcare by eliminating innovation and by driving doctors out of the medical industry. Not only are doctors dropping out in record numbers and retiring earlier, they are no longer encouraging their children to enter the field. The result is a collapse in the quality of healthcare and an inability to meet the growing healthcare needs of an aging population.

The TEA Party Movement will not stop this fight to replace Obamacare with a Free Market alternative that returns control of our healthcare to individual Americans and their doctors.  Any candidate for any office who does not commit to replacing Obamacare, will not get our votes in coming elections regardless of party. The Republican’s in particular who have run and been elected on the promise to “Repeal and Replace Obamacare” now must fulfill that promise or face the consequences from an angry electorate.”

Why YOU need to run for School Board THIS YEAR!

Lots of things are important in life, it’s just that some things are more important than others. While it is important, and even exciting, for some to talk about all the Presidential candidates, the reality is that we are more impacted by out of control government locally than we are federally.  All the flawed policies, and wasteful spending, that the federal government implements, are implemented by your state and local government. Common Core being one egregious example.

Instead of taking up your time watching the “bright shiny object” of the Presidential races, particularly in 2015 when nothing they say changes anything, we need to recognize a critical opportunity to do something that is much more important and much more attainable in 2015.  We need You to run for school board in your local area.

Now it has always been important for your movement to try and take back our schools by taking over the school board and we have been successful in some case in doing that. However, this year the stakes are higher than ever.  Why?  Changes in the teachers retirement system.

The State Teachers Retirement System changed the rules a few years ago and is now going to calculate teacher and administrator retirement benefits based on the five highest years of income instead of the three highest years. The result being a lower base rate. Plus they have changed the rules about who can retire and when. The result being that many teachers who don’t retire in the next two or three years will lose approximately 11.5% of their annual income for life.  That’s a huge incentive for teachers and administrators to get out now and that is exactly what is happening.

Why is that important to Conservatives and why does it make winning school board seats more important now than it has ever been? Well as conservatives, we are concerned about taxation. A large part of our property taxes go to school districts. (Even if you rent, you pay the property taxes through your rent, the landlord doesn’t pay them!)  In 99% of school districts, those taxes only go up, they never come down. Even when we have less students, they spend it anyway.  While we have been successful in defeating some levy renewals, we have not had enough success, because the schools would often make a case that they could not survive any cuts because their expense kept going up. Uninformed people in the community believe it, and therefore, we have been able to defeat new levies but not renewal levies.  However, that is all about to change – if we take action NOW.

It is critical that we win school board seats this year, because all of these teacher and administrator retirements are going to save school districts millions of dollars in salaries. These retires are the highest paid employees in the schools and they are going to be replaced with young teachers who should cost about 40% of what the old teachers were making. So, for example, one school district in Portage County announced that they have 18 teachers retiring this year. Each of them cost the tax payer $100,000 per year or more in salary and benefits – yea the 20% you pay above their pay for health insurance and for their retirement that teachers like to pretend is not part of their salary. So, that school district is going to save $1.8 million next year and then only have to spend $720,000 to replace them. Saving $1.08 million per year for years to come. That is only the beginning because more teachers will be retiring next year and the year after that.  For this small district, the saving will come out to over $3 million per year! For big school districts, it could be much more!

Now, do you think the unions are going to let the school board give that money back to the taxpayers like they should?  Of course not, they are going to spend it all. They will be demanding not 3% annual raises but 5% or more until it is all gone – because the school board can afford it! Unless we act, the school board will do it, because they are all former teachers, the husbands or fathers of teachers or former administrators. Once again the fix will be in UNLESS we do something about it!

With these savings, school boards should be in a position to not even put some renewal levies on the ballot.  We will be able to argue for the first time that they don’t need the money because of all the retirements.  But it will be a lot easier if we are sitting on the school board with a majority and we can vote not to put the renewal on the ballot!  Otherwise they will keep putting them on the ballot multiple times and lying to the tax payers until they are passed despite the fact that they don’t need the money!

They are already laying the groundwork. One of the administrators in our area has already been quoted as saying “Districts will save money with the lower salaries of beginning teachers, but will have to increase the supervision and monitoring in the classroom”!  So, let’s get this straight. Even thought they graduated from college and are certified to teach, and the superintendent hired them because they are qualified to do the job they hired them to do, we are going to have to pay to hire more high paid administrators to “monitor” these new teacher because they really aren’t qualified! Got it?  Yea right.  This chart shows that the biggest problem in public schools in the ridiculous increase in non-teaching staff:

It gets worse. In Avon Lake Ohio the citizens were dumb enough to just pass a 10 year renewable levy!!  Isn’t that interesting. Why would they do that? Why would the school board recommend that? Well, now when all those teacher retire, they won’t have a levy come up for  renewal for 10 years, during which the Union will distribute all that money to teachers and administrators so when it comes up for renewal, they can plead poverty AGAIN!

This is why YOU must consider putting yourself on the ballot this year to run for School Board. If you are on the school board, you can decide how this money is spent, or if it is returned to the tax payers. The deadline is the first week of August to put your name on the ballot. You simply go to the Board of Elections and flll out a form. You may need a few signatures depending on your county, but never more than 5.  The election is in November. So, from August until November you have to get out and ask for the community to vote for you.

Now, School Board races are what they call Non-Partisan, meaning you don’t run as a Republican or Democrat or Libertarian. Second, most school board have five members.  Depending on your school board, their may be three seats up for re-election or there will be two.  When you run, all candidates are usually running for all the seats. So, if their are two open seats, the top two vote getters win the seats. We need to get as many of us to run as possible and even if you are not up to running, you need to find someone who will and help them win by going door to door for them and asking your neighbors to support them. Best of all, these are low cost races. You need some signs and materials to hand out when you go door to door and perhaps a robo call or two.

Just know, that the Union is thinking the same thing. They will use your tax dollars, extorted through forced Union dues, to fund their Union candidates. They have databases of every person in your community who will vote yes on just about any levy. They will work to turn out their vote for Union candidates and you have just got to out work them and take those seats.

I wanted to spell this out for you so that you had time to consider running, or to find someone to run who has great name recognition in your community and who you could support. This is why the TEA Party exists. To cut taxes and hold people we elect accountable so that they spend our hard earned taxes wisely.  This year is the year that we can really make a difference.  Litterally, in many cases, if you could cut property taxes by not renewing a levy, it could make the difference between a senior citizen on social securty being able to keep their home! They are being force to sell their homes because they can not affort the property taxes and their social security income has not been increase in years. Let’s make the choice to take back some of our money this year and help everyone in our community without hurting the students at all! Run for School Board!
