Participation in the poll increased in June, with 43 different Ohio conservative groups participating, and over 2,000 individuals voting in the polls. The surveys were conducted in person during the month of June at monthly group meetings, and by special web based surveys set up for each group. Results for the survey, including individually by groups, can be viewed at www.OhioConservativesUnited.org.
McAvoy stated, “”Based on the survey results so far, Ohio’s conservative voters fully understand if they go to the polls split and fragmented amongst the really great conservative candidates, the establishment Republican wins. But if they unite around a single conservative candidate, that candidate has a huge advantage and stands a better chance of winning.”
Respondents also were asked if they would consider changing their vote in order to elect an other conservative candidate. Results indicated that 42% of Ohio conservative would change their vote and another 42% may be persuaded to do so.
